| The Pocket PC Industry Association is a California
501c6 non-profit organization. In partnership with Pocket PC Magazine,
the Pocket PC Summit will be announcing the launch of the Pocket
PC Industry Association, the official association of the Pocket
PC community, industry and platform. The PPCIA will conduct it's
first community meeting during the next Pocket PC Summit in Philadelphia.
As industry professionals we welcome your participation in the growth
and success of the community. We look forward to continually supporting
the passionate companies and professionals through the Pocket PC
Industry Assocation. |

PPCIA Mission Statement
The Pocket PC Industry Association's mission
is to promote, advertise and market the Pocket PC and Pocket PC
technology for the purpose of demonstrating the viability of the
Pocket PC for business, education, government, and non-profit organizations,
as well as mobile professionals. We strive to help our member companies
succeed and prosper in the emerging world of handheld and wireless
technology. |

* Promotion, advertising and marketing
the Pocket PC and Pocket PC technology to business, education and
non-profit organizations throughout the United States through media
of television, radio, print and over the Internet.
* Demonstrating the viability of the Pocket PC for business, education,
government,
and non-profit organizations, as well as mobile professionals
* Perform independent testing of Pocket PC hardware and software
* Conduct research projects to enhance enterprise deployments of
handheld and wireless technologies
* Conduct consumer and enterprise surveys and publish the data to
our members
* Gather, collect and organize statistics and other relevant data
on handheld and wireless usage and publish the data to our members
* Communicate and dissimenate technology, consumer and industry
trends and publish the data to our members
* Donating Pocket PC and wireless technology to universities, hospitals
and non-profit organizations, as well as approved business organization,
and then conduct research studies based on their individual and
collective use of the technology. Communicate and disseminate the
