Peter
Green is responsible for managing the Intel® XScale™
microarchitecture and low-power IA handheld components targeted
into the emerging handheld computing segment. The division's primary
objective is to grow Intel® XScale™ microarchitecture
into Intel's next great microprocessor architectural franchise.
Peter
joined Intel in 1983 and held various marketing positions before
he became General Manager of SPG's Embedded Microcontroller Division
(EMD), General Manager Computing Enhancement Division (CED), and
General Manager Digital Peripherals Division.

1999, Peter was instrumental in negotiating the joint venture
with Analog Devices to design a world-class digital signal processor
and managed the start up of this joint development and the creation
of the design center in Austin. He also re-negotiated the ARM
Plc architectural licensed agreement that provides Intel with
a unique licensed flexibility to pursue Intel® StrongARM* products.
Prior
to joining Intel Peter was Senior Research Scientist, Missile
Development at Plessey Allen Clark Research Center in England.
He later joined Texas Instruments where he held the position of
Regional Sales Manager, GM of 4 and 8 bit Microcontroller products
and Director of Marketing for the emerging Texas Instruments thrust
into DSP's circa 1982.
Peter
earned his Master of Science degree in Microwave and Communication
Theory at the University of Sheffield, and Bachelor of Science degree
in Physics at the University of Leeds, England. |
